These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of ConvoAI (the "App"), an offline AI assistant application for iPhone developed by Cybergen AI ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The App

ConvoAI is an offline AI assistant for iPhone. It connects via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to a user-owned hardware microphone device (such as a Raspberry Pi), receives audio over Bluetooth, transcribes speech on-device using Whisper AI, detects questions in live conversation, and generates answers using an on-device LLaMA language model. After a one-time download of the required AI models, the App runs fully offline.

2. User-Owned Hardware

The App is designed to work with a separate Bluetooth microphone device that you own and control. The App does not access your iPhone's built-in microphone. You are solely responsible for acquiring, configuring, securing, and lawfully operating your own hardware device. We do not provide, sell, or support the hardware itself.

3. Lawful and Responsible Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. In particular, recording or transcribing conversations may be subject to laws regarding consent and privacy in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for obtaining any consent required from other parties before capturing, transcribing, or storing their speech. We are not responsible for how you use the App.

4. AI-Generated Content

The App uses on-device AI models to transcribe speech and generate answers. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. The App is provided for informational and convenience purposes only and does not constitute professional, legal, medical, financial, or other advice. You should independently verify any information before relying on it.

5. Model Downloads

The App downloads AI models once from public URLs (such as HuggingFace) to enable offline functionality. These downloads are subject to the terms and licenses of the respective model providers. Network connectivity and adequate device storage are required to complete the initial download.

6. No Accounts or Monetization

The App requires no user accounts, login, or registration. There are no advertisements, no in-app purchases, and no monetization within the App.

7. Your Data

Conversation transcripts are stored only locally on your device. You may permanently delete all stored session data within the App at any time. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how your information is handled.

8. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Cybergen AI and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The underlying AI models are owned by their respective providers and licensed under their own terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cybergen AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes become effective when the updated Terms are posted, with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
