Privacy Policy

Cybergen AI ("we", "us", or "our") built ConvoAI (the "App") with privacy as its foundation. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information. The short version: ConvoAI is built to run fully offline and does not collect, transmit, or share your personal data.

No data ever leaves your device. After a one-time model download, all audio processing and AI inference happen locally on your iPhone. We have no servers that receive your data, and we never see your conversations.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect any personal information. Specifically, the App has:

No user accounts — no login, registration, or sign-up is required.
No analytics — we do not track usage, behavior, or events.
No crash reporting — no diagnostic or telemetry data is sent to us.
No advertising — there are no ads and no ad identifiers.
No tracking — we do not track you across apps or websites.
No third-party SDKs that collect personal information.

2. Microphone and Bluetooth

The App does not access your iPhone's built-in microphone. All audio input comes only from your own external Bluetooth hardware microphone device (such as a Raspberry Pi that you own and control).

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is used solely to connect to your own personal hardware device and receive audio from it. We do not use Bluetooth to identify you, locate you, or connect to any device other than the one you pair.

3. How Audio Is Processed

Audio received from your hardware device is transcribed on-device using Whisper AI. The App detects questions within the conversation and generates answers using an on-device LLaMA language model. All of this processing happens locally on your device. No audio, transcript, or generated content is ever sent to any server or third party.

4. Local Data Storage

Conversation transcripts are stored only in a local SQLite database on your device. This data never leaves your iPhone and is not backed up to or synchronized with any service we operate.

5. Deleting Your Data

You are in full control of your data. You can permanently delete all stored session data within the App at any time. Once deleted, the data is removed from your device. Uninstalling the App also removes all locally stored data.

6. AI Model Downloads

To enable offline operation, the App downloads its AI models once from public URLs (such as HuggingFace). This is a one-time download of model files; it does not transmit any of your personal data, audio, or transcripts. When you connect to these public sources to download the models, their own privacy practices apply to that connection. After the download completes, the App works fully offline.

7. No Monetization

There are no advertisements, no in-app purchases, and no monetization of any kind within the App. We do not sell, rent, or share data — because we never collect it.

8. Children's Privacy

The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age required by applicable law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes become effective when the updated policy is posted, with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
